Why does someone show as Away?

Away means we haven’t heard from them in four months: no visit, no tap, no answer and no request. So we write once a month instead of every week, and anything from them brings them straight back to every week.

Good to know

  • Opens never count, because mail apps open emails on their own.
  • Nobody is Away in their first four months on your list, or before they’ve had at least eight emails.
  • Away people get the first email of each month.
  • Once a year, their email asks Still want these? with one button. If someone Away doesn’t answer within 30 days, they rest: no more email until they come back in.
  • A visit you record or bring in counts, so keeping visits current keeps this right.
  • See who’s Away in People, Everyone on your list, Away. A friendly hello often brings them in.
